What is PF ?
The Provident Fund is a government-administered compulsory pension scheme used in Singapore, India and other developing countries. Both employees and employers contribute to a fund intended to provide financial assistance to employees reaching retirement age.
PF account holders can withdraw up to 75% of the total amount if they are unemployed for more than one month after leaving their jobs. The provision also allows the account holder to withdraw the remaining 25% if the unemployment lasts more than his two months.

EPF Withdrawal Rules 2023
Are you planning to deprecate parts of the PF corpus? Well, here are some basic rules you need to keep in mind:
- You cannot withdraw part or all of your pension fund until you are in gainful employment.
- You can withdraw up to 75% if you have been unemployed for more than a month, and the balance if you have been unemployed for more than two months.
- If you plan to withdraw ₹50,000 or more from the Corpus within 5 years of opening your EPF account, withdrawals will be charged TDS of 10% (if you have a valid PAN card in India) or 30% (if you do not) will be 't) don't have a PAN card).
- You can avoid the TDS deduction by filing Form 15H or Form 15G.
- If the number of years of continuous service is constant, you can make a loan with PF savings. If you change jobs, you do not need to transfer credits from your old PK account to your new account. As long as your Universal Account Number (UAN) is valid and you have submitted the proper form, you can send money. Full PK credits can be withdrawn if he has been unemployed for at least two months or if he started a new job more than two months after his last working day at his previous organization.
